A Day of Oral Radiology: Review and Exploration – From 2D Review to the basics of CBCT
Course Description:
This course is designed for dentists and dental specialists who are currently using or interested in incorporating cone beam computed tomography (CBCT) into their practice.
The course will present:
- Principles of Imaging and systematic approaches of interpretation of panoramic radiographs and CBCT imaging modalities
- Anatomy reviews in panoramic radiographs and CBCT
- Variants of normal anatomy, common pathological entities, and their clinical significances
- An evidence-based applications of CBCT and its limitations
The hand-on component will teach participants how to reorient the scans, and optimize, view, and format the CBCT volumes for radiologic report creation.
Course Objectives:
- Develop a personalized systematic method of radiological interpretation for all imaging modalities
- Create a systematic method for prescribing radiographic images
- Identify variants of normal anatomy and common radiographic findings
