A true digital dental workflow comprises of 3 components – CAI (computed assisted imaging), CAD (computer assisted design) and CAM (computer assisted manufacturing).
The use of intra-oral scanners allows the clinician to digitally capture dental tissues in STL formats and coalesce this with DICOM data to allow for virtual planning of dental implant surgery.
The efficient use of this digital workflow in daily dental practices allows for safe and predictable implant placements.
