Dr. Yong-Seok Cho is a highly respected clinician, educator, and lecturer in implant dentistry with more than 20 years of experience in advanced dental care, implant surgery, and professional training. Based in Incheon, Korea, he is widely recognized for his expertise in implant dentistry, from straightforward cases to full-mouth reconstruction.
Over the course of his career, Dr. Cho has performed more than 50,000 dental implant surgeries, with extensive experience in advanced procedures including over 7,000 sinus bone augmentations and 3,500 guided bone regeneration (GBR) cases. He is also known for his commitment to continuing education and has become a leading voice in implant training both in Korea and internationally.
Dr. Cho currently leads CHO & KIM Dental Clinic in Incheon, Korea. He has previously served as Director of Miseoul Dental Clinic, practiced at Apsun Dental Hospital in Seoul, and worked at The 22nd Century Seoul Dental Hospital in Incheon. In academia, he has held roles as Assistant Professor at Chungbuk National University, Chairman of the Department of Dentistry at Chungbuk National University Hospital, and Ambulatory Professor at both Seoul National University School of Dentistry and Asan Medical Center College of Medicine, University of Ulsan.
Since 2002, Dr. Cho has served as a Course Director for Osstem Implant, and since 2016, he has been a main speaker for DentalBean. He delivers approximately 500 to 700 hours of lectures each year in Korea and abroad, covering a wide range of topics such as basic implant training, sinus surgery, narrow ridge management, soft tissue management, GBR, total implant treatment, advanced esthetic and immediate loading procedures, flapless surgery, and third molar extraction.
In addition to lecturing, Dr. Cho has played an active role in public education by sponsoring and contributing to dental implant seminars designed to better inform the public. He also provides one-on-one clinical training for dental practitioners seeking to develop advanced skills in implant dentistry.
Dr. Cho earned his D.D.S. from Seoul National University School of Dentistry, followed by his M.S.D. and Ph.D. in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from Seoul National University. He is a Diplomate of the Korean Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Diplomate of the Korean Board of Maxillofacial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
He is affiliated with the Korean Dental Association, Seoul Dental Association, and the Korean Implantology Association, and also serves as Director of AIC (Apsun Dental Implant Research and Education Center).
