Description
Socket Preservation For Everday Practice: Predication techniques to maintain bone after extraction
Course Description:
Following tooth extraction, rapid bone resorption can compromise future implant placement and restorative outcomes. In this two-hour lecture, Dr. Saini, will review the biologic principles of post-extraction bone remodeling and discuss when socket preservation should be performed to help maintain ridge dimensions and support future implant therapy.
Course Objectives:
• Practical protocols for predictable socket preservation
• Case selection criteria for ridge preservation procedures
• Graft placement techniques for optimal outcomes
• Proper use of membranes in socket preservation
• Overview of commonly used biomaterials: xenografts, allografts, and collagen membranes
• Clinical examples demonstrating step-by-step ridge preservation
• How ridge preservation maintains bone volume for future implant placement
• Techniques to simplify implant placement in everyday practice
