The esthetics and functional integrity of the periodontal tissues may be compromised by tooth loss especially in the maxillary anteriors. The psychological challenge for the patient to lose front teeth is a social dilemma.
Today’s scientific progress allows for a clinician to provide a safe protocol involving extractions with immediate implant placements and a fixed provisional restoration. The success of this type of implant procedure depends on multiple factors such as patients expectations, smile line, hard / soft tissue topography and most importantly – the clinician’s training.
